Civilization IV, are the expansions of an addon for the original game or a different game all together?
I ordered Civilization IV and its two expansions play.com. I was woundering if the expansions are only a supplement to the original game, you should play the original and then download the expanions and play together. or should I hold each and plays as one.
The expansion of the packages that are probably referring to the warlords and Beyond the Sword. Civilization IV when entered the scene in 2005, I had about a year until they became warlords in 2006. It was like an improvement that I never went back to the original Civilization 4. Approximately a year later, in 2007, Beyond the Sword was marketed, and was much better than warlords who never saw the previous expansion pack. Of course, you must install Civilization 4 before you can install any expansion packs. You can not play Warlords and Beyond the Sword, as a combination – they are two games completely different. If you want to gradually learn to play, or want to experience the civilization in all its forms, then you may want to try Sans Civ 4 expansion packs, then warlords. However, I recommend playing Beyond the Sword, as it is far superior to all previous versions.
